Cyclops Introduces Dual-Function Headlamp

Cyclops, an innovator in personal and field lighting solutions, expands its performance headlamp series with the introduction of the new Hades removable and rechargeable headlamp. The Hades is the perfect solution for those needing the hands-free function of a headlamp or the directional versatility of a handheld light.

Powered by a 2200mah lithium-ion rechargeable battery, the new Hades utilizes a 10W Osram P9 LED to deliver 1000 lumens of clean, focused light out to 100 meters. Four intensity settings are offered by clicking through the single switch: 3%, 15%, 40%, and 100% illumination. Consecutive run time is 4.5 hours at 40% intensity.

The heart of the Hades’ dual function capability is the housing design and headband attachment system. The housing is made of anodized aluminum for light weight and maximum durability in harsh field conditions. The housing’s tubular profile and 90-degree lamp offset allow the Hades to serve as both a headlamp and a handheld light, depending on the lighting needs and field conditions.

Two snap-on clips integrated into the headband mount secure the housing to the headband for hands-free use. When hand-hold function is required, the housing can be easily removed from the headband mount. Flats on either side of the lamp allow the light to be placed on most surfaces without rolling.

A removeable spring steel clip is also included with the Hades assembly. This allows users to secure the light to a pocket or belt while the 90-degree lamp configuration provides forward illumination.

MSRP for the Hades (item number CYC-HLH1000) is $49.99.
