Rost Martin is thrilled to announce that the California Department of Justice (DOJ) has approved the sale of their California-compliant RM1C. On December 4, 2024, Rost Martin received confirmation that the RM1C pistol was added to the roster of certified handguns.
Since 2001, all pistols certified for sale within California must pass specific model and testing requirements set by the state.
"We know how important the preservation of the 2nd Amendment is to those in California, so we moved as fast as we could to get this gun onto their roster," explains Rost Martin CEO Chris Toomer. "As a company, we acknowledge that many gun owners in California are holding down the Constitutional lines of freedom within the state, and we strive to honor their commitment to that freedom. We aim to make as many future Rost Martin firearms available to Californians as possible," he continues. "We're all part of the same 2A family."
The RM1C is Rost Martin's introductory model, released in January at the SHOT Show in Las Vegas, NV.
The RM1C is a feature-rich compact platform offering thoughtful features that have captured positive feedback since its release earlier this year, namely the smooth, five-pound trigger with the super-short reset and its superior accuracy out-of-the-box. The RM1C is also optics-ready, shipping standard with a metal RMR plate. All other popular optics plates are available for sale on the Rost Martin website.
