Hundreds of FFLs Head to Dallas for The Briefing: FFL Compliance Summit, Sept. 23–25

Hundreds of Federal Firearms Licensees have already signed up for The Briefing: FFL Compliance Summit, happening September 23–25 at the W Hotel Dallas in Victory Park. Registration is still open, but seating is limited.

The regulations are public. The reasoning behind them isn't. The Briefing puts dealers in the same room as the people who write, enforce and interpret the rules. The goal is to ensure firearms businesses can get their questions answered, and that they can be confident in how their businesses are operating.

ATF Director Rob Cekada will open the main conference with a keynote speech. He's joined by senior ATF leaders, including Assistant Director and Chief Counsel Robert Leider, National Tracing Center Division Chief Edward Stely, and Senior Industry Partnership Advisor Krissy Carlson, plus Eric Moore, ATF/FFL Liaison for the FBI's NICS Section.

Industry leaders will be there too, including Travis Glover, COO of Silencer Shop and 4473 Cloud, and more than 20 speakers in all.

On the agenda:

• ATF adverse action policy and what triggers it
• Straw purchase enforcement
• The new Form 4473
• FBI NICS updates
• Industry and dealer panels, NSSF safety and compliance, and where FFL technology is headed
• Travis Glover to anchor the event with a seminar on the Silencer Shop Foundation vs ATF injunction, and entering the suppressor market for FFLs

"FFL owners have a ton of compliance questions, especially after the Silencer Shop Foundation vs ATF ruling, and ATF hasn't offered clear guidance yet. The Briefing will be a great opportunity to get those questions answered by the right people." said Travis Glover, COO of Silencer Shop and 4473 Cloud.
