Rost Martin is pleased to announce that the California Department of Justice (DOJ) has approved the sale of its California-compliant RM1S, which is now listed on the state’s roster of certified handguns.
“As soon as the RM1S was released in January, we eagerly began the process of obtaining approval for the California roster,” shares Rost Martin CEO Chris Toomer. “Our objective has consistently been to ensure that as many Rost Martin firearms are accessible to Californians as possible. We are delighted that the RM1S approval signifies that another RM pistol is now available for individuals within the state.”
The RM1S is a subcompact 9mm pistol featuring a 3.6-inch hammer-forged barrel. Its flat-faced trigger offers a notably short reset and a clean, crisp break, with a pull weight of under five pounds. Rost Martin has enhanced the grip texturing in both “grit” and surface area on the RM1S, resulting in improved control, accuracy, and comfort, making it ideal for this smaller carry platform. The fully ambidextrous controls enhance the feature-rich design, which includes aggressive front and rear slide serrations, non-glare top slide serrations, and a standard optics-ready RMR cut on every RM1S. A slight beaver tail design provides a higher hand grip, while the front index finger helps the shooter “drive” the pistol for maximum accuracy and control. The standard RM1S ships with both a 12-round flush magazine and a 15-round extended magazine. Each California variant of the RM1S comes with two 10-round magazines.
