Job Opening: Server Administrator

Reporting To: Help Desk & Server Manager

Job Location: Columbia, MO 65203

MidwayUSA is looking for a talented Server Administrator to use Linux and/or automation experience to support the organization. The Server Administrator will work with a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment while still respecting his or her work/life balance. A Server Administrator with MidwayUSA will support systems, domain servers, and system security and assist with process and system improvement.

Position Duties

• Work with a team to manage virtual infrastructure and ongoing system administration and automation
• Collaborate with a team and members of the department to support and solve product and service issues in the data center’s physical and virtual systems
• Maintain and monitor system configuration to ensure data integrity
• Assist with System backups and recovery
• Develop, train, and maintain departmental processes and documentation as it pertains to systems and servers

Position Requirements

• Possess a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, related technical discipline, or appropriate experience
• Will have demonstrated continual learning, such as VMware certification or equivalent certification programs
• Passionate about technology and a Company Culture that values honesty, teamwork, and respect for others
• Have a minimum of 5 years of System Administration experience preferred
• Possess a working knowledge and experience with Linux-based OS in an enterprise environment
• Possess a working knowledge of infrastructure automation, python, or equivalent scripting, with continuous deployment and containerization experience preferred
• In-depth knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures related to System Administration, Infrastructure Automation, and system and service performance monitoring
