In pursuit, the choice of broadheads can make all the difference. Fire-N-the-Hole and Mossy Oak are thrilled to introduce a game-changing addition to the world of compound and crossbow hunting: the Sidewinder Broadhead decorated with the iconic Mossy Oak Country DNA pattern.
This partnership aims to offer bowhunters a seamless shooting experience that always hits “right on the pin” per concept creater and owner Kenny Isringhausen. The 4 inch Sidewinder Broadhead was conceptualized in 2009 with the 4 inch broadhead released in 2018.
Fire-N-The-Hole's Sidewinder, a 1x4 broadhead, represents the only 4-inch production broadhead. With a five year track record of success, it reigns as the fastest and most lethal mechanical broadhead, backed by resounding customer feedback. Hunters using the Sidewinder have reported a double lung shot covering an average of 30 yards, a liver shot extending to 60-70 yards with an 8-10 second expiration, and even a gut shot, once deemed improbable, resulting in the animal covering 100-150 yards and succumbing within 5 minutes. Isringhausen assures that the era of the "impossible" has passed.
Kenny Isringhausen, a seasoned bowhunter with 46 years of experience, frequently encounters a common question: "How does it fly?" To best understand an arrow equipped with the Sidewinder Broadhead, imagine it as a bullet mid-flight. When the arrow is released, it begins spinning clockwise as it travels through the air. This rotation is a direct result of the beveled blades, which were meticulously designed to create a cutting edge at the broadhead's tip. These blades are expertly sharpened across their entire front surface, ensuring a stable and precise flight. Fire-N-The-Hole affectionately refers to this design as the "1x4" because, in the closed shooting position, it boasts a 7/8-inch diameter. As it penetrates the target animal, the broadhead utilizes the angles on the front of the blades to trigger a controlled expansion, ultimately widening to a full 4 inches. These blades are reminiscent of small knife blades, measuring 0.050 inches in thickness, 0.200 inches in width, and 2 ¼ inches in length. Their remarkable durability stands as the cornerstone of this design, setting it apart from others.
