At the recent Big Rock Sports Outdoor Expo in Nashville, Retailers from across the United States voted for the best new outdoor products. This was the eighth edition of the Fishing Tackle Retailer magazine-sponsored New Product Showcase, where Big Rock Sports customers got an up-close and personal look at the latest shooting sports, fishing, camping and marine products before casting their votes.

“This event is differentiated from other new product showcases at industry trade shows where media organizations have a strong influence over the outcome,” explained Big Rock Sports Senior Vice President Brian Phillips. “Since our outdoor retailers know the products and how they’ll perform better than anyone else, it only makes sense to give them exclusive power to vote for the winners.”

Across 16 categories, 156 products were featured in this year’s New Product Showcase ballot. The Shimano Miravel Spinning Reel won “Best New Fishing/Camping/Marine Product,” and Ruger took home “Best New Shooting Sports Product” with its SFAR – Small-Frame Autoloading Rifle.
