Lee R. Anderson, a distinguished leader in wildlife conservation and outdoor advocacy, was presented with the Beretta & Safari Club International (SCI) Foundation Conservation Leadership Award at the 11th Annual Award Gala held during the Safari Club International Convention in Nashville, Tennessee.
The prestigious award personally sponsored by Beretta, the world's oldest firearm manufacturer celebrating its 500-year anniversary this year, recognizes individuals who exemplify the hunter-conservationist philosophy through a lifetime of commitment to wildlife conservation, outdoor education, and humanitarian service. Winners are celebrated for their substantial contributions to both conservation and community engagement on a global scale.
Lee R. Anderson was selected for this honor in recognition of his exemplary leadership, long-standing dedication to conservation initiatives, and significant impact on advancing sustainable wildlife stewardship. Whether through volunteer service, advocacy, philanthropy, or educational outreach, Anderson has demonstrated a deep and enduring commitment to protecting wildlife and inspiring future generations of conservationists.
The award was presented at the gala's "Oscar-style" ceremony, which also featured a gourmet dinner, live and silent auctions, and an evening dedicated to raising funds in support of SCI Foundation mission programs including science-based conservation research and youth outdoor education.
Conservation is central to Beretta's DNA. As Travis Haglin of PB Select & Beretta Gallery shared, "Wild places do not endure by accident. They endure because hunters and conservationists invest in habitat, science, and stewardship."
The Beretta & SCI Foundation Conservation Leadership Award has a rich history of honoring notable figures whose conservation efforts have had a lasting impact on wildlife and hunting heritage worldwide. Previous recipients include leaders from diverse backgrounds who share a profound respect for ethical outdoor pursuits and environmental stewardship. For decades, Beretta has proudly partnered with SCI to ensure wild places and hunting traditions remain strong for future generations and were grateful to contribute to another impactful evening advancing conservation efforts worldwide.
