Steiner, the most trusted name in high-end defensive and sporting optics, announces that the company’s P4Xi 1-4x24 rifle scope has passed with high scores the National Tactical Officers Association’s (NTOA) Member Tested and Recommended Program.
Per the NTOA, “The NTOA Member Tested and Recommended Program has tested more than 3,000 products in real-world situations since 2003 and is regarded by many law enforcement agencies as paramount to their product purchasing decisions.”
Following testing by NTOA member officers in Michigan and Arkansas, the Steiner P4Xi low power variable optic developed for defensive rifle use received a 4.94 (out of a possible 5.0) score, earning the Member Tested and Recommended Program’s Gold logo — the program’s highest rating.
Steiner designed the P4Xi LPVO specifically for AR-platform patrol rifles. Its 1-4X magnification makes it ideally suited for close-quarter engagements as well as long distance accuracy. The P3TR reticle used for the program testing supports the scope’s near-to-distant aiming capabilities with stadia calibrated for 5.56mm and 7.62mm ballistics. Combined with its premium glass, rugged one-piece 30mm tube, and 11 illuminated reticle settings (including two NV settings), the P4Xi is a standout duty optic built for the austere and ever-changing conditions patrol officers encounter daily.
“Steiner's P4Xi 1x4 was very easy to use and had smooth operations,” commented one evaluator. “Very clear glass, and once zeroed, I was able to keep great groups at 100 yards. I put it through some paces with over 500 rounds along with drills that caused it to hit against my gear several times to see if it held zero. It maintained perfect zero…I presented this to my department and showed all of the capabilities we could do and are now building a DMR program around this scope.”
Another testing officer noted: “The Steiner P4Xi 1-4x24 with the P3TR reticle is a great, simple optic for anybody looking for an LPVO that may also be used for entry work…Overall, the simplistic design of the scope is great for its intended purpose. It's not too complicated but most importantly [it] works.”
