Granbury, TX - Keeping with the tradition of big bore derringers, Bond Arms released the Cyclops in 44 magnum. The Cyclops hit the market with a single shot 45/70 capable of providing immense firepower in an incredibly small firearm. With the success of the 45/70, a 44 magnum has been released, offering both functionality and firepower.
Not sacrificing quality or removing the original design, the 44 magnum version of the Cyclops keeps the lineage strong. At the same time, derringers are often considered small rimfire calibers and expand into common pistol calibers. Rarely are they seen as magnum cartridges.
Weighing in at 28 oz, the Cyclops 44 magnum is stronger and more durable than ever. This 4.25-inch barrel is fitted into a single action frame and only continues the new series of big bore Derringers.
This model does vary from other pistol options from Bond Arms. Unlike the traditional over/under staple, each Cyclops model is a single shot only. The lack of a secondary chambering adds additional weight to the pistol and mitigates some felt recoil in a cartridge as large as the 44 magnum. It comes with an extended and proprietary B6 resin grip. Changes have been made to the grip to make it more ergonomic and easier to shoot. These sights are no different than the majority of Bond Arms’ options and are fixed to the frame and barrel. It comes in at a mesmerizing 6.75 inches overall and a 7 lb trigger pull. Firing any Cyclops requires some determination and some strong arms.
Many of the Bond Arms barrels can be swapped to various frames, but the Cyclops frames are only compatible with Cyclops barrels. This is due to it being a single shot barrel and the firing pin being in a different location.
It doesn’t matter if the Cyclops 44 magnum becomes a backup pistol, primary sidearm, or just a range toy it’s guaranteed to go boom. Don’t miss an opportunity to own and use a unique firearm.
